Sergeant Major Jorge E. Cedeno-Tulloch
Sergeant Major (SgtMaj) Jorge E. Cedeno-Tulloch was born in Santa Maria, Panama. He enlisted into the Marine Corps from Hempstead, New York. In October 1997, he left for recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, SC. Upon graduation in January 1998, he received orders to Camp Geiger, NC for Marine Combat Training (MCT). After successfully completing MCT in March of 1998, Private Cedeno-Tulloch received orders to Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi where he trained for his primary MOS of 6672 Aviation Supply Specialist.
In May 1998, Private First Class (PFC) Cedeno-Tulloch completed MOS training and was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 12, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (1st MAW), Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, JP. He held the billets of Supply Receiving Branch clerk, Consumables Issue Section NCOIC, and Consumables Control Branch NCOIC within the Consumables Management Division (CMD). In July 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant (Sgt).
In October 2001, Sgt Cedeno-Tulloch was assigned to Commander of Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP), Naval Air Station North Island San Diego, Ca. He held the billet of Type/Model/Series Manager for the CH-46 Phrog, AH-1W Cobra and the UH-1N Huey. While assigned to this billet, Sgt Cedeno-Tulloch provided logistical support to deployed Marine Operating Bases in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I and Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
In January 2005, Sgt Cedeno-Tulloch was assigned to MALS-11, MAG-11, 3rd MAW, MCAS Miramar, Ca and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSgt). He held the billet of Awaiting Parts Branch (AWPB) SNCOIC within the Repairable Management Division (RMD). In January 2006, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch deployed to Muharraq, Bahrain in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and held the billet of Mobile Air Cargo Handling Team NCOIC. In February 2007, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch returned to RMD and was assigned as the Satellite Supply SNCOIC within the Aviation Supply Department.
In May 2009, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch received orders to Marine Aviation Training Support Squadron One, Naval Air Station Meridian, MS. He was assigned to the Marine Aviation Supply Specialist Course (MASS) MOS 6672 and held the billets of Senior Instructor and Curriculum Developer. Between the periods of July 2010 and December 2011, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch was twice nominated and selected as the Instructor of the Quarter.
In January 2013, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch volunteered and reported to MCRD Parris Island, SC for Drill Instructor School with Class 2-13. While assigned as a student, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch held the billet of 1st Squad Leader. Upon Graduation in March 2013, he received orders to Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion.
In April 2013, SSgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to 1st Recruit Training Battalion Parris Island, SC where he held the billets of Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, and Senior Drill Instructor. He trained recruits at both Alpha and Delta Company. He was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt) in July 2013. In November 2014, GySgt Cedeno-Tulloch attended and graduated the Physical Training Instructor Course 1-15.
In January 2015, GySgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to Support Battalion Parris Island, SC where he simultaneously held the billets of Company GySgt and Company First Sergeant (1stSgt) for the Recruit Processing Company. In November 2015, GySgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to Instructional Training Company where he held the billet of Company 1stSgt.
In June 2016, GySgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to MALS-13, MAG-13, 3rd MAW, MCAS Yuma, Az where he held the billet of Repairable Management Division Warehouse Chief. In March of 2017 GySgt Cedeno-Tulloch successfully completed the 1stSgt's Course and the Regional E-8 Seminar in August 2017. In September 2017, he was promoted to 1stSgt.
In October 2017, 1stSgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to Marine Corps Installation Camp Mujuk, South Korea where he held the billet of Senior Enlisted Leader. In December 2018, 1stSgt Cedeno-Tulloch reported to Fox Company 2d Battalion, 24th Marines, Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he held the billet of Inspector Instructor 1stSgt. In 2019, he was named the Fleet Reserve Association Shipmate of the Year. In June 2021 he was frocked to his current rank. In July 2021, he reported to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron where he served as the Squadron SgtMaj. In July 2024, he reported to Weapons Training Battalion, Quantico as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
SgtMaj Cedeno-Tulloch has received the Human Resource Management Certification from the University of Phoenix. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (w/gold stars in lieu of 4th award) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (w/gold stars in lieu of 4th award).
